When I saw this Dilbert cartoon, mgb was the first person who came to mind. I’m not trying to say that mgb is Dilbert but the nonchalent expression whilst pushing someone into freezing water did strike a chord.

Apologies for invading your blog Jamie, just that Mike seems to have descended into writing about playing silly buggers with silly swords in a park (i’m guessing the people’s park) that has a minimum entry requirement of battle ready and not a faggy rapier…..
You would really like to think that some people know what they are doing …

actually, a battle in the park sounds like fun, but only if I’m allowed to turn up with a rifle (I think this would be my choice). All that sword play is far too laden with snobbery, aristocrisy and movement. Next thing you’ll know, he’ll be playing polo
Anyway, as long as mgb’s rapier doesn’t look like this, I think I’ll win. And it’s got to be easier to get a rifle in Limerick than a sword!
