Dreamhost… again
Thursday, February 2nd, 2006...4:50 am
I know I’ve blogged before about how good Dreamhost are, but today they’ve just astounded me again. My brother asked me to host a 150MB file for him but said I could delete it after a few days to save space. I checked my disk space allowance: 22GB! And, that’s growing by 160MB/week. And, they’ve just announced Subversion support, which is my preferred version control system. Seriously, why would I use another host? I reckon I’m going to revamp our photo section with the one-click Gallery2 installation and upload full-resolution photos. With this sort of space available, why not?

If I ever get back on a proper host I will check them out. In the mean time I’ve got .mac with 1GB/10GB storage/transfer. Which is way better than my old 22host account (100MB/?)
Most I’ve used so far is 3GB in a month
Good to see data transfer allowances going up!

Subversion would be very useful – looks like they do full shell access too?

yeah, full shell (ssh) access, ftp, php, mysql, and all of the usual goodies.
