		<description>I think you&#039;re right about the enabling conditions for our growth but it was ultimately the growth in workforce which grew the GDP. I believe that the high employment of women is one of the principle differences cited between the Irish and Greek economy. I wish I could find that Economist article so I could check my facts though.</description>

My opinion is that EU funding, low corporation tax and a decent education system were some of the catalysts for job creation which enabled women to enter the workforce resulting in higher GDP. 

Likewise, immigrant labour also filled many of the positions that could not or would not be filled by Irish people and this further boosted our GDP.</description>
