Just a quick note that I’ve started a new blog about Sony NEX cameras, called NEXtended. I’ll be concentrating on the various unique aspects of these cameras as well as the general aspects of photography. Hopefully, I’ll make it a regular publication and a lively community.

Hey NEX rocks…. I have tried it. I borrowed it from a
photographer friend. Its effects were superb and pictures were as
clear as the professionals usually shoot. Thanks for sharing your
inputs. This has just been launched here in India. Please tell me
more about its effects, specially the Background effect which is
mentioned here on their website
http://www.sony.co.in/microsite/nex/index.html Please help here as
I am keen on buying it, but want to learn more features before I
finally lay my hands on it.

Bought my NEX-3 on ebay body only and use it with the adapter and m42 lenses as I do with my old Canon 300D.
A very low cost way to get good manual pictures.
I imaged the Orion nebula with a 210 f2.8 lens OK
Problems NEX-3 has no remote.
NEX 5 does but only but only infrared not USB.
The current problem is that when coupled to my telescope the screen does not automatically display the integrated image from long exposures(real time screen does however show stars this helps to focus) My Canon does display the integrated image but no real time screen.
